You are invited to our 55th Spring Tour of Homes Preview Party at the Albert Pike Hotel, 701 Scott Street, to kick off this year’s tour in the MacArthur Park Historic District.

The QQA is happy to announce that the Arkansas Humanities Council awarded the organization a mini-grant to support our Preservation Conversations monthly lecture series. This is the second year that the QQA has been awarded a mini-grant in support of this project.

Owners of properties that contribute to a historic district or that are individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places may be eligible for tax credits for property rehabilitation. Join us as Dr. Antoinette Johnson explains federal and state tax credits and how owners can take advantage of these opportunities.

The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resources. The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) is responsible for National Register implementation in Arkansas. February’s presentation will be on the history and development of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as well as the research and process used to pursue listing in the Register.

The QQA is pleased to welcome a new slate of board members and officers in 2019, including professionals expert in content development, business, real estate, finance, architecture, nonprofit management, historic preservation, scientific research, and law.

In 2018 the QQA board decided to restructure the organization’s branding with the goal of streamlining its web presence and clarifying its mission.
