Quapaw Quarter Association announces new Executive Director
The Quapaw Quarter Association (QQA), a non-profit dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of Greater Little Rock’s historic places, is excited to announce the promotion of Morgan Weithman to be its next Executive Director, effective November 1, 2025.
Morgan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas, completing a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology. Before being named the executive director of the QQA, Morgan served as the public programs assistant at the Historic Arkansas Museum and worked as the membership and activities coordinator for the QQA. As an award-winning historian, Morgan is dedicated to the cause of historic preservation in central Arkansas and beyond. “My work at the Historic Arkansas Museum and the QQA has allowed me to spend time with some of the oldest buildings here in Little Rock, and I have such a deep appreciation and love for the cultural history of this city.”
For the past three years as membership and activities coordinator, Morgan has grown the QQA’s membership and community connections. Both the Arkansas Museum Association and the Arkansas Living History Association have presented Morgan with various awards for her work in educational programs and workshop demonstrations. Since November 2023, Morgan has proven herself as a capable leader of the QQA during the service of an interim executive director and executive director and has kept the QQA on course for its membership and mission as a full-time staff person since July 2025.

“As the outgoing president of the board of directors, I cannot thank Morgan enough for her commitment to the QQA over the past three years as we have navigated several changes in leadership at the executive director level,” Board President Amber Crouch said. “Morgan has truly been the heart of the QQA and has worked diligently with the board to maintain consistency and focus. It is an honor to promote such a dedicated employee, advocate, and historian to be the QQA’s next executive director.”
Living in the Governor’s Mansion Historic District with her husband, Morgan is devoted to the community and is involved with volunteer programs around the city. “I look forward to working with residents in Greater Little Rock and QQA members to build community relationships, foster a love and appreciation for historic preservation, and advocate at a local, state, and federal level for best practices to preserve the cultural history of our city and beyond.”
Please join the QQA in congratulating Morgan on her promotion to executive director!
