Hands-on preservation workshops continue at Ernest Green House - June 13-17
Last year the QQA partnered with member Carol St. John Young, the Dunbar Historic Neighborhood Association, Preserve Arkansas, and the City of Little Rock and historic preservation workforce advocate Marshall Ray, for a Window Restoration and Weatherization boot camp.
This summer Bob Yapp, a nationally recognized instructor, will provide hands-on instruction to another group of ready learners to remove the artificial siding and reveal and restore the original! Once again, the boot camp will take place at the National Register-listed Ernest Green House in the historic Dunbar neighborhood. Ernest Green was one of the Little Rock Nine and the first African American graduates of Little Rock Central High School.
The workshop is limited to 18 participants and the cost to attend is $500 per person; however, scholarships are available. If you are interested in participating, please send an email with a letter of interest to QQA Executive Director, Patricia Blick.
