Join the QQA as we discuss Vestal Nursery, which operated in the Baring Cross neighborhood of North Little Rock for over 100 years. According to the Encyclopedia of Arkansas, Vestal Nursery "cultivated and shipped flowers across the United States. By the mid-twentieth century, it had one of the largest greenhouse spaces in the United States."

July 8: Preservation Conversation: The Heart of the Home by Danielle Butler
Join the QQA for a chat with Public Historic Danielle Butler. As an expansion of her 2016 home tour at the Boyle House in the Governor’s Mansion Historic District, Danielle Butler will discuss the lives and work of the domestic workers who were employed in the Boyle House from the home’s 1922 construction to the present. Butler will discuss the lives of these often invisible women of history, how the kitchen layout and technology affected their work, and how domestic work has changed over the last 100 years in Arkansas.
